Local Authority Housing Fund Round 3 - Expression of Interest Form

Closed 11 Apr 2024

Opened 4 Mar 2024

Overview

The Local Authority Housing Fund Round 3 (LAHF R3) will provide up to £450 million in capital grants in 2024/25 and 2025/26 to support local authorities to obtain better quality temporary accommodation and provide safe and suitable housing for those on the Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme (ACRS) who are unable to secure their own housing.

Local authorities have been allocated a funding offer on the basis of a formula taking into account a range of housing pressure metrics and the number of ACRS/ARAP individuals in each local authority area.

203 local authorities have received an initial allocation of LAHF R3 funds and will also be considered for additional allocations (from unclaimed funds) if they can deliver more homes.

This Expression of Interest (EOI) form enables local authorities that have not received an initial allocation to notify DLUHC if they want to be considered for any remaining unclaimed LAHF R3 funds to deliver the programme objectives.

The minimum delivery requirement for allocation to any LA is 1 property for the R3 resettlement element and 1 property for the TA.

Grants awarded following this EOI process will be calculated based on the Grant Rate section of the LAHF R3 prospectus - see your LAHF R3 notification letter for details of this grant rate in your authority.

This form applies to eligible councils in England only which have not received an initial allocation. (If your local authority has been made an initial funding offer, you should use the Allocations Validation form:

All delivery proposals should be based on delivering the fund objectives as described at section 2.1 of the Prospectus and the grant per unit set out in your allocation email.

This EOI form is split into two parts - assessed questions and non-assessed questions.
